Biography

Johannes Winkler, a virtuoso musician based in Vienna, Austria, has made a name for himself as an extraordinary film score composer, producer, orchestrator, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. He has collaborated with an array of esteemed international artists, including Klangkarussell, Rusanda Panfili, and Felix Jaehn. Johannes's musical prowess has been featured in numerous movies and TV shows, including the award-winning documentaries "Someone like me" and "Netflix Dogs: Season 1 & 2". His debut solo album, "Vogelperspektive," which transports listeners on a journey through a coalescent mix of soundscapes and ambient structures, is a testament to his legacy of airborne perspectives.

 Johannes's musical education began at the tender age of eight, steeped in multi-instrumental studies that included the flute, piano, drums/percussion, violin, and later electronic music and analog synthesizers. He went on to refine his musical knowledge over the years, studying jazz and classical piano, composition, and sound engineering at the University of Music and Arts in Vienna, where he achieved a Master's Degree with distinction.

 Since 2016, Johannes has partnered with Edo van Breemen, forming a composer duo that is currently represented by CAA in Los Angeles, USA. Combining his vast background in music education, continuous development as a multi-instrumentalist, and his experience on film sets, Johannes is continuosly pushing the boundaries of musical genres, always seeking to explore new frontiers.
